On behalf of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, extended festive greetings and sincere regards to the country's working people ahead of the International Workers' Day, which falls on May 1.

Xi noted that on the new journey of advancing Chinese modernization, the broad masses of working people have closely rallied around the Party, pursued progress with vigor, dared to innovate and create, and made significant contributions to the development of the cause of the Party and the country.

This year marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC and the first year of the country's 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030), Xi said, expressing hope that the broad masses of working people will vigorously uphold the spirit of model workers, the ethos of work and craftsmanship, work hard and get real results with dedication and devotion, and play a leading role in advancing high-quality economic and social development as masters of the country. Party committees and governments at all levels should earnestly safeguard legitimate rights and interests of workers, focus on resolving the pressing difficulties and problems that concern them most, and motivate them to strive unremittingly for the realization of the country's grand blueprint, Xi stressed.
