On September 14, as an important part of a 2026 study tour to Beijing, a delegation of grassroots officials from Chamdo, Xizang, visited the BOE Technology Innovation Center, an autonomous driving exhibition hall and a humanoid robot innovation center, gaining a close-up look at Beijing’s latest achievements in scientific and technological innovation.

Members of the delegation watch an interactive demonstration by an embodied-intelligence robot. 

“One used to think that these high-tech was far removed from us. But today I saw it's already applied in agriculture, healthcare and more,” said a grassroots official after the visit. 

Participants said the visit not only broadened their horizons, but also deepened their understanding of the immense potential of technology to empower modern agriculture and support rural revitalization. They said they would bring Beijing’s advanced ideas and technological perspectives back to Chamdo, adapt them to local conditions and contribute to the modernization of their hometown.
