Recently, 50 young students from the plateau communities of Chamco, Cogo and Qulho townships in Dingri County, Xigaze, Xizang, traveled thousands of kilometers to Beijing for a study tour.

Although Beijing was already turning chilly in October, the students were eager to watch the flag-raising ceremony in Tiananmen Square. Their excitement inspired the young visitors from the foot of Mount Qomolangma to dress up for the occasion, deepening their sense of patriotism. 

At Weiming Lake at Peking University and Tsinghua University, they experienced the appeal of two leading universities and planted seeds of hope for their own futures. At the China Science and Technology Museum and the China Soong Ching Ling Science and Culture Center for Young People, the interactive areas buzzed with laughter and excitement. 

As the students explored alongside peers from other parts of China, they forged friendships that were brief but sincere.
