As autumn deepens, the Double Ninth Festival brings a spirit of respect and care for the elderly across the plateau. In recent days, localities across Xizang have held a wide variety of activities to honor older people, bringing warmth directly to them.

In Qulong Gongda Village, Dingri County, Xigaze, cotton-padded coats and other gifts are presented to elderly residents. 

At the Drashi Subdistrict Community Health Service Center in Chengguan District, Lhasa, medical staff measure older residents’ blood pressure and record their health information.
