The Xuegula Peak Mountain Bike Cross-Country Challenge, part of the 2026 Xizang Sports Event Season, recently kicked off in Yangbajain Town, Damxung County, Lhasa.

Under the theme “Holy Land Xizang, Outdoor Paradise,” the event attracted 60 amateur cyclists from cycling clubs across China and individual cycling enthusiasts. The competition featured three categories: Men’s Elite (52 km), Men’s Open (39 km), and Women’s Elite (39 km), with the course elevation ranging from 4,298 meters to 4,432 meters.  

The event fully showcased the plateau scenery of Xuegula Peak, promoted high-altitude mountain biking, and contributed to the integrated development of Xizang’s sports industry with commerce, culture, and tourism.
