“Today’s Xizang” Photo Exhibition Opens in Switzerland

2026-10-09  | China Tibet Online

The “Today’s Xizang” photo exhibition, organized by pro-China overseas Tibetan compatriot groups, was held recently in St. Gallen, Switzerland. More than 40 visitors, including Tibetans living abroad and friends from Switzerland, Germany, France, the United States, and other countries, attended the exhibition to learn about Xizang’s development and celebrate the friendship between China and Switzerland.

Freya, a 13-year-old girl from Germany, shared her experience of traveling to China over the summer at the event: “Visiting China in person dispelled the rumors I had seen online. People here are happy and proud of their hometowns.” She said that people around the world share one beautiful planet and should cherish the common ground that brings them together, rather than letting differences breed doubt or fear.

After the exhibition, overseas Tibetans spontaneously joined in singing classic songs, including My People, My Country, My Chinese Heart, On the Golden Hill of Beijing, and A Mother’s Daughter. Their singing conveyed the deep affection that Chinese people at home and abroad feel for the Chinese nation and echoed the shared sentiment that all ethnic groups in China belong to one big family.
