“After the earthquake, witnessing the collapse of my home left me with a profound sense of emptiness. I never anticipated that I would soon be living in such a strong and beautiful new house!” said Grandma Lhapa, her face radiating happiness, a reflection of the collective joy shared among all the relocated villagers. Recently, in Dana Village of Gyalkar Township, Dinggye County, Xizang’s Xigaze City, four families of farmers and herders who had recently moved into their new homes gathered with local volunteers and construction workers to celebrate both the National Day and the Moon Festival. Together, they made traditional Tibetan-style mooncakes and gathered around steaming hotpots, sharing laughter and heartfelt conversation. As music began to play, they joined hands to partake in the joyful guozhuang circle dance. “My heart feels sweeter than mooncakes and warmer than hotpot!” they exclaimed, expressing their new life as sweet as honey.
